I've been exploring the internet for eGPUs and this is the best bang for your buck! Works really well even with just the TB4. Anyone who has a ROG Ally X should get this too!
I'm very satisfied with this purchase and the support team really helped me getting it going when I ran into issues.
The laptop performs very well overall, but I encountered a major issue with the integrated GPU malfunctioning on startup (Lenovo T14 AMD Gen 5), causing the system to enter BRICK MODE whenever it's restarted or launched or display graphical artifacts caused by GPU malfunction.
After much frustration, I discovered the fix: disabling fast startup in power settings (Windows 11). However, there are no official or unofficial resources addressing this critical issue. This oversight nearly led me to return the product. It's VERY IMPORTANT to provide guidance for such problems to ensure a better user experience.
My config is Onexplayer X1 mini (8840U) + ONEXGPU 2 (Oculink). The eGPU is a must have for top PC layer experience. The performance is awesome, playing games in ULTRA at 1440p with with higher fps. If you have a VRR smart TV o r monitor the experience is more enhanced.
